There was a four-inch round mirror in the boys’ bathroom at our bunkhouse in Portland. It sat on a small shelf adjacent to the sink and was only useful if held by one hand, as it would roll or lean at an impossible angle while on the shelf. Twenty-four young men shared this bathroom.
