Meet Starlene Martin, Life Christian Academy’s new head cheerleading coach!
“We are excited to welcome Coach Martin,” says LCA athletic director Mark Lovelady. “She will do a great job of building on the foundation of excellence laid by coach Becke Rogers.”
As a former cheerleader and cheerleading coach, and current co-pastor of Inspiration Bible Church, Coach Martin is ideally equipped to carry forward Coach Rogers’ mantle of both athletic and spiritual training.
She says, “I am excited about showing these amazing young athletes that through cheer, dance, and stunting, you can live a life of integrity before God; and teaching them the ability to work together as a team.”
Coach Martin and her family—husband Greg, with whom she co-pastors; and daughters Anneke [grade 7] and Vanessa [grade 10]—have been part of the LCA community for the past eight years. In addition to being an LCA parent, Coach Martin coached the 2008-09 LCA middle school squad to first place in their league.
