The Life Christian Academy Alumni Association was formed to serve our alumni and the community by providing relational and meaningful opportunities to support Life Christian Academy alumni and the school.

Led by Britney Yada and (LCA Alumni) Kelly Miller, the Portland State golf team had a vastly improved performance on day two of the Wildcat Invitational, cutting their team score by a remarkable 24 shots from day one.

Miller is in a tie for 53rd with 82-76=158. The freshman moved up 11 spots on the leader board. Miller’s 76 is one shot better than her previous best at Portland State, a 77 in the Rose City Collegiate Tournament last fall.

If the Annual Alumni Basketball Game isn’t yet a family tradition, make it one! Bring or send your crew to cheer on LCA’s hoopster alums as they huff, puff, block, bank, and hook. Meet the LCA Alumni Association Board and bring your best game for some half-time fun and contests.

If you know someone who might like to play in the game, contact them and let them know they have a week to prepare for the big game!

Saturday, October 15th, the LCA/SCS football team takes on the Vashon Pirates at Harry Lang Field for the 2011 Homecoming game.

Come on out at 5:00 for the annual tailgate party (see details below) and then settle in for a great night of football.

*Remember to come by the Eagles nest and pick up some Eagle Pride wear and gear!

Monday—Coronation! A great ceremony

in the KAC put on by the ASB. Your 2011 Royal court are: Senior King and Queen—Charles Davis and Chante` Weston, Senior Prince and Princess—Stephan Johanson and Jessica Fay. Junior Lord and Lady—Karson Kuehner and Gabby Sweet. Sophomore Duke and Duchess–Jason Parks and Jenna Semingson. Freshman Servant and Maid—Tyler Beasinger and Ali Forbush

The student’s will be dressed in “Time Warp”—dressing for the future or the past!

Tuesday—Kingdom Wars! Kingdom Wars is a battle between the grade level classes where students are rewarded for their group performance in a variety of physical challenges. Parent mentor group leaders lead each team. Kingdom Wars is a homecoming activity that is an extension of our “His Kingdom Starts Here!” mentor group study. Parents are welcome.

Students will dress in “Happy Holiday” wear!

Wednesday morning is Pre-college testing grades 8–12 (grade appropriate test of the college entrance exams)

Students are wearing sports apparel

The afternoon brings our traditional Powder Puff football game between junior and senior girls, and the all important Macho Man competition!

Thursday is a fun dress up day….”Words with Friends”—each student will have a letter on their back—get together and send a message!

The Homecoming Court will get in a limousine and head out to the RAM for the traditional lunch!

Friday is Chapel day with regular chapel attire—our alumni speaker is C.J. Witkoe–9:25 in the KAC. In the evening head on out to American Lake at 7:30 for the Big Beach Bonfire at the home of Dwayne and Abby Henning!

SATURDAY IS THE DAY! LCA/SCS WarEagles take on the Pirates of Vashon!

Amazing tailgate party and pre-game BBQ from 5:00—7:00! Cost is just $10.00 per adult, $5.00 per student under 12 for a delicious buffet of BBQ chicken sandwiches, baked beans, cole slaw, chips, cookies and drinks. Game starts at7:00. Bring the family for a night of old fashioned family fun!
