Bruce Young - Tacoma, WA
Favorite Verse: Hebrews 4:12 |

A member of the four year varsity group as well, Kenny brings veteran experience to the Eagles outfield and an aggressive approach at the plate. In addition to baseball, he's also played 4 years of varsity football. Kenny knows how to hit on the grid iron and he knows how to hit the books too, earning Scholar Athlete awards each season. For fun he enjoys playing video games and watching movies. This fall Kenny is headed to Tuscon to attend the University of Arizona where he plans to major in business. When asked what he will miss about Life Christian he said, "The friends that I have had for many years and the sense of security." Anything you won't miss Kenny? "Yes. The lunches!" |
Back for his 4th campaign with the Eagles varsity team, Bruce will add experience, leadership and enthusiasm to this year's squad. He brings an enthusiastic attitude not only to the baseball program but throughout the LCA campus (evident by his recent election into the senior Hall of Fame as "Mr. Spriti"). Away from school, Bruce enjoys skim boarding and playing the piano for relaxation. Next fall he plans to attend San Diego State University to pursue a business major. When asked what he will miss most about LCA, he said, "The good friendly environment that comes from both the students and faculty." Anything you won't miss Bruce? "Yes. Jesse returns to the squad for his 3rd year of varsity action. He is an all-out competitor both on the baseball diamond and on the football field where he earned All-League honors and was elected captain by his teammates this past fall. Away from his sports activities, Jesse enjoys hanging out with his friends and shooting hoops. His future plans are to serve his country as Jesse has enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he will serve for 6 years. When asked what he will miss most about LCA he replied, "The people. The close knit family." And what he won't miss? "The dress code!" |
After 3 years of varsity basketball and 4 years varsity football, earning multiple All-League awards, what else is a guy to do in his senior year? Why try out for the baseball team of course! Trevor, a very gifted athlete, puts on a different uniform this spring and joins the Eagles on the diamond. Away from the field of competition, he's been very involved at Life Christian, serving as ASB class president in both his sophmore and junior years and singing in the gospel choir. Trevor's future plans include attending Whitworth College in Spokane next fall, where he will play both football and basketball, and to serve in youth ministry. |
