The LCA Eagles traveled up to Auburn Adventist last night and extended their record winning streak to 10 games. 11 different players scored in the Eagles' 49-25 victory, moving our record to 11-2 overall, and 4-0 in the Chinook League.

Jamie Scott (JR) had 18 points, including 5 3-pointers, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds.
Anne Halinen (SR) hit 4 of her first 5 shots and finished with 10 points.
Jenn Peterson (JR) had 10 rebounds on the night.

It was great to see all 12 girls get some playing time and contribute to this big win in several different ways. The girls play at Kings' on Friday night; a game that will determine which team gets sole possession of 1st place. It should be a fun test for the Eagles as they attempt to beat Kings' for the first time in our school's history.

The varsity girls' basketball team picked up a huge 42-41 overtime victory over Seattle Christian last night. The win improves the girls' record to 9-2 overall, 2-0 in league. It was LCA's first ever victory over SCS for the ladies.

After jumping to a quick 15-5 lead in the 1st quarter, the hustling SCS team fought back to take a 3 pt. lead with 1 min. remaining. The Eagles fought back and a Jamie Scott 3-pointer with 15 seconds left gave LCA a 2 pt lead. SCS hit two free throws to send the game into overtime.

Jamie drew a foul with six-tenths of a second left on the clock and hit the 2nd of 2 free throws to give the Eagles the one point victory. Jamie ended the game with 17 pts, 5 assists, 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 blocked shots. Jenn Peterson added 14 points and 17 rebounds. It was sophomore Jatoya Rhodes' defensive hustle in the final minutes of regulation and overtime that really sparked the Eagles to this win. Jatoya also picked up a huge assist to Heather Brebner in overtime for our only field goal in the extra period.

The ladies overcame foul trouble to 3 of their starters to pick up this big league win. They will be in action here again tomorrow night at 6pm vs. Cascade Christian, another team whom we have never beaten. We'd love to have your support!
