EAGLE FOOTBALL EXPECTATIONS

Christian Lifestyle

As Christian men we are called to lead Godly lives. This must include rock solid commitment to making tough choices when temptations show. Your commitment to Christ will make good decisions for you, and those decisions will endorse your participation in the Eagle football program. Poor decisions making relative to in or put out of school behavior will make it very difficult for you to enjoy the benefits of being an Eagle football player. We take pride in our ability to do the things right.

You are a representative of Christ, our school, and our football program. We except everyone to represent us and our program with class and dignity.

Training Room/Injury Procedures

Prevention and treatment of injuries is the responsibility of the athlete. He will receive proper advice and service from our school's athletic trainer/designee. Our coaches are not trainers. Our athlete trainer will handle all referrals to physicians.

Each athlete must know his practice or game status based upon injury or recovery from injury. The coaching staff will not make that decision without consultation with the trainer.

Wear proper attire in the training room and fitness center, both of which co-ed facilities.

Missed Practices/Meetings

All excused absences include an athlete communicating the absence to the head coach prior to being absent. Excused absences include: sickness, death in the family, meeting with a facility member, and injury.

Any unexcused absence will result in not being allowed to suit up for the next game.
Two unexcused absences will result in removal from the team.

Classroom Behavior and Grades

All student/athletes are required to behave in the classroom. This is why the student/athletes are here at Life Christian School and Academy. Athletics are a privelege not a right. If they fail to comply with the class expectations of behavior, that faculty member or administrator will contact the head coach and there will be consequences as well. This is to develop accountability in the classroom from other team members

If a student/athlete has outstanding assignment in class for a porlonged period of time, they are not allowed to participate in practice or games. The student/athlete is required to meet the standard for the school of a GPA 2.0 and no F's. In addition they are required to pass the 5 week WIAA grade check as well.
